There's a restaurant near my mom's house where, for a brief window every summer, blackberry cobbler is on the menu every day. My mom and I love to go there and get a light lunch, so we have plenty of room for dessert. We split a giant serving with vanilla ice cream on the side, sip coffee, and linger over the last bites.
This recipe is not the same as what you get at the Main Street Cafe, but it is delicious. All my tasters thought it was great, even the ones who are "not crazy about blackberries". (It's hard to believe that I live with these people.) It's an adaptation of my peach cobbler recipe in three sizes, to share with those who appreciate, or enjoy all by yourself.
